The Jadon Sancho to Liverpool rumours resurfaced once again in April.
According to Bild, the long-time Liverpool target is back on Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Borussia Dortmund winger has been linked with a move to Anfield on and off for the best part of around 18 months, with Kicker reporting last July that the England international wanted to join Klopp’s side.
On Saturday, Sancho helped the German giants to a 5-0 win over Holstein Kiel in the DFB Cup.
There was a funny incident early on as the former Manchester City winger made his marker stumble backwards and tumble to the ground after a slight dummy.
Sancho has posted footage of the moment on Twitter and Liverpool fans were quick to hijack the tweet by urging him to come to Merseyside.
Is he joining Liverpool? Probably not.
The Times reported in April that Dortmund would sell for £86 million, which would’ve been considered a bargain this time last summer.
But Liverpool could very possibly finish outside the Champions League places and that’ll hit Fenway Sports Group’s pocket even more, after the club reported losses of £46 million last month.
If the Reds do business during the summer, it won’t be for bank-breaking transfers like a deal for Sancho and therefore these supporters will probably be a tad disappointed.
