Leeds United reportedly want to sign Barnsley’s Andy Yiadom in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United head coach Paul Heckingbottom worked with Andy Yiadom at Barnsley and reportedly wants to bring the versatile player to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
According to The Star, Yiadom is out of contract at Barnsley at the end of the season and is wanted by Leeds.
The 26-year-old, who can operate as a full-back or as a winger, though, is not worried about his future at the moment.
With Barnsley in genuine danger of getting relegated to League One at the end of the season, the Ghana international wants to make sure that the Tykes retain their Championship status for the 2018-19 campaign.

Yiadom told The Star when asked about his future: “All that matters is keeping this football team up. We really need to get a win. We’ll do anything to get three points.
“At this stage of the season form goes out of the window. We need to take each game as it comes and try to get points on the board.”

Perfect mindset for a Leeds United player
Yiadom has proved himself in the Championship, and it is hard to see him remain at Barnsley if they go down to League One.
What is very heartening to see is that the Ghana international is fully focused on making sure that Barnsley remain in the Championship and is not concerned about his own future.
This mindset should be very encouraging for Leeds fans, as it shows that Yiadom is a team player and is very committed to the club he is contracted to.
