Celtic stretched their unbeaten domestic run to 21 games last night.
Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports at 11:18am on December 21st, ex-Celtic striker Andy Walker described talk of his former side going the entire league season undefeated as ‘unrealistic’.
The Hoops have been mightily impressive so far this season, domestically at least, and currently hold a 14 point lead over second placed Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table, with a game in hand over their fierce rivals.

And Walker, who made 189 appearances for Celtic during two separate spells with the club, was full of praise for the work being done at Parkhead by Brendan Rodgers, but played down talk of his former side going unbeaten for the remainder of the season, during an interview with Sky Sports:
“I think it’s unrealistic. I don’t think that will happen, but their level of consistency has surprised everyone. Brendan Rodgers has made a terrific impact.”
The Glasgow giants face a busy spell of fixtures over the next 11 days, culminating with their trip to Ibrox to take on Rangers on New Year’s Eve.

And a return of nine points from those games would surely be good enough to realistically ensure the defence of their Scottish Premiership title.
Next up on the agenda for Celtic is a trip to Hamilton Academical on Christmas Eve.
