Rodgers replaced Deila at the club this summer after the Norwegian decided to depart.

Andy Walker has told the Daily Mail that he believes the current Celtic squad respect Brendan Rodgers, and that was not the case under Ronny Deila.
Rodgers took charge at Celtic Park this summer after Deila decided to end his reign at the end of last season.
The Norwegian’s time in charge has largely been described as something of a disappointing one given that they missed out on Champions League football in the last two years.
The former Liverpool boss has been considered as something of a coup for the club with it felt that they beat competition from the Premier League for his services.

And Walker says he feels that the squad respect their new boss and that may not have been the case under Deila.
“Everyone at Celtic has been given a huge lift by Brendan Rodgers coming in,” he told the Daily Mail.
“He is a top manager who has done good things in the game. You can already see a big difference with the way Celtic are trying to play. And you can also see the players respect him. I’m not convinced that was the case with Ronny Deila.”

Whether or not the Celtic squad respects Rodgers more than Deila is unknown, but it is fair to say they are performing better under him.
They have started the season on fire with three wins out of three in the league, progression in the cup and Champions League football secured.
Their style of football has also been better, and perhaps that has had something to do with the respect they hold for the former Liverpool manager.
