Rangers started off the new Scottish Premiership campaign by leaving it late to beat Kilmarnock.

Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker waxed-lyrical about the power and aggression that was shown by Connor Golson as he helped Rangers to a 2-1 win against Kilmarnock on Sunday.
The Gers defender netted a last-minute header from a corner at Rugby Park to help Steven Gerrard’s side seal a much-needed three points in their Scottish Premiership opener.
After taking the lead and producing a strong first-half display, Gerrard’s side felt they had thrown away the points when Killie equalised midway through the second period, but that was when Goldson stepped up.
Speaking during his Sky Sports Football commentary stint (04/08/2019), Walker praised Goldson for giving his all in trying to win that header which in the end won his team maximum points.
“Look at the quality of cross here,” Walker told Sky Sports. “Look at the determination from Goldson just to get on the end of it. Absolutely magnificent from Goldson.

“Look at Goldson, he’s strong, he’s aggressive and my goodness he’s powerful. Seven or eight yards out and he makes sure he gets that on target. Goldson makes the difference here.”
The late win sparked wild celebrations from the Rangers supporters, who were beaten by Killie on the last day of the previous campaign.
One problem area for Gerrard last season was his team constantly dropping vital points, well they will be hoping that they have set a marker for things to come as the season progresses.
