Glasgow Rangers ace Harry Forrester has impressed for Mark Warburton’s Ibrox side.
Andy Walker has told Sky Sports that he has been “very impressed” by Rangers attacker Harry Forrester so far this season.
Early days, but the 25-year-old is swiftly becoming one of Rangers’ most influential players on their return to the Scottish Premiership.
The former Doncaster Rovers ace – who joined the Gers last summer – was left out of the first XI for the 1-1 draw with Hamilton on the opening day, though he did come on and set up Martyn Waghorn’s late equaliser.
Since then, Forrester has been regularly reminding manager Mark Warburton of his qualities, and has netted in each of Rangers’ last two Premiership outings – a couple of 2-1 wins home and away against Motherwell and Dundee.
Indeed, Forrester played a big role in helping the Scottish giants get back to the big time last season, and the Celtic legend says that he is continuing to prove he has a lot to offer Rangers.
“In the early part of the season I’ve been very impressed with Harry Forrester at Rangers. There’s a guy that was left out of the team for the opening weekend. He came on as a substitute, making an immediate impact setting up Martyn Waghorn with a wonderful pass for his goal against Hamilton,” he said to Sky Sports.
“And since then, when he’s been getting a start he’s shown a real goal threat. He got an important goal up at Dens Park against Dundee and followed it up with another really important goal at Ibrox last week against Motherwell. He’s someone who has been given a lift joining such a big club. He’s shown he has a lot to offer.”
Warburton and co visit Kilmarnock tomorrow night in a game which might see Joe Garner – a £1.5 million signing from Preston North End last week – given his Rangers debut.
