Rangers recorded an entertaining win over Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen on Wednesday night.

Sky Sports pundit Andy Walker made it clear on commentary that Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna was to blame for the Alfredo Morelos incident because he was ‘the more aggressive party’.
It was a lively Scottish Premiership encounter at Pittodrie on Wednesday night, with Steven Gerrard’s men winning the game 4-2 [BBC Sport], with a number of talking points after the match – one of them was the ‘kicking’ incident between Morelos & McKenna.
Former Celtic player Walker claimed that there was ‘not an aggressive motion’ from Morelos during that moment as both players seemingly kicked out at each other, which resulted in them being sent off in the second half.
During his commentary duties for Sky, Walker made it pretty clear that Morelos shouldn’t have been given his marching orders by referee Bobby Madden.
“I’ve got to say, Morelos is very, very unlucky there,” Walker stated on commentary for Sky Sports Football on 06/02/2019.
“I don’t think there is any intent there. There is not an aggressive motion. He has been stupid in these games before. But, I don’t think there was a stamping motion from Morelos. The more aggressive party, in my view, was McKenna.”
In the game itself, it was a lively and end-to-end encounter, with both teams looking for three points as they aim to close the gap on Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.

Prior to his sending off, Morelos netted a brace for his team, with Sam Cosgrove matching the opposition striker, but James Tavernier and Jermain Defoe added to their side’s goal tally.
Over the course of the season, Morelos has played 37 matches in all competitions, scoring 21 goals for his team, but he has been sent off in every match he has played against the Dons this term, according to transfermarkt.
After the high drama in the Scottish Premiership, teams will now be turning their attention to the Scottish Cup and boosting their chances of lifting a trophy.
