Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been touted for the vacant managerial job at Leicester City

Andy Walker has claimed that he is ‘not surprised’ that Leicester City are looking at Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers to be their new manager as he described his credentials as ‘magnificent’
On Tuesday morning, Celtic confirmed on their official Twitter account that they have been approached by the Foxes to speak to Rodgers in regards to replacing the recently sacked Claude Puel.
Since joining the club, Rodgers has won every domestic trophy possible in Scotland and if he leaves then he will no doubt go down as a Celtic legend.
Speaking to the Football Centre on Sky Sports News (25/02/2019 at 11:20 am), former Premiership player Walker offered his thoughts on the Northern Irishman’s potential departure.
“I think it’s an attractive job for someone,” Walker told Sky Sports News. “I am not surprised Leicester are looking at Brendan Rodgers. His credentials are magnificent. He has been such a huge success here in Scotland winning the last seven trophies.”
Rodgers’ potential early departure may surprise the Bhoys supporters who would have have been hoping to see him clinch another Premiership title before leaving.

During his time at the club, he has won seven trophies, including the treble-treble and going unbeaten during his first season in charge in Glasgow.
At this moment in time, Celtic are eight points clear at the top of the Premiership table and they have a big chance in securing nine in a row at the end of the campaign.
They travel to Hearts for a tricky league clash on Wednesday night and still have to play Old Firm rivals Rangers on two occasions before the season comes to a close.
