Jorginho was a huge success at Chelsea before moving to London and Premier League rivals Arsenal in January 2023.
During his time at Chelsea, the Italy international midfielder won the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
The 31-year-old is not a regular in the Arsenal team, but the midfielder remains an important figure in manager Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title and make an impact in the UEFA Champions League this season.
And, I believe that Jorginho will play his role in the Gunners’ quest.
The 31-year-old is hugely experienced and is a very clever footballer.

Former Chelsea midfielder and talkSPORT pundit Andy Townsend has noted that Jorginho is a “brilliant” player, but he can get exposed when opposition teams break.
Townsend said about Jorginho on talkSPORT (6:52 am, October 17, 2023): “If you think Jorginho, brilliant footballer, but can get exposed a bit in the middle of the park when people break on you very quickly.”
My View: Jorginho an important player for Arsenal
In my opinion, Jorginho will play his role for Arsenal this season.
I do not expect Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to use the midfielder in each and every game.
However, in certain matches, especially in Europe and against the top teams in the Premier League, Jorginho could start.
Jorginho could also provide good cover for injury.
The Arsenal no. 20 has made one start and five substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League this campaign.
