Andy Townsend spoke highly of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on talkSPORT (5:37pm, February 8, 2021).
The former Chelsea and Aston Villa midfielder has been impressed by Kane’s performances this season and outlined how the striker seems to be able to do pretty much everything on the pitch.
Townsend said about Kane on talkSPORT (5:37pm, February 8, 2021): “He is an incredible player. He is just an astonishing player, he really is.”
The pundit added: “Harry can get his numbers as well as dropping, as well as assisting, as well as linking up. He tackles back, he is on the edge of his own box one minute and then he is knocking something through for Son to get on the end of seconds later. I think he is a magnificent footballer.”
World-class footballer
Kane is a world-class striker who has been superb for Spurs yet again this season, scoring goal, creating chances, playing as a number nine and playing as a number 10.
According to WhoScored, the England international has scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in the Premier League so far this season, and in 2019-20, the striker scored 18 goals and gave two assists in the league.
For Tottenham to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, Kane has to be on top of his game in the coming months.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United striker Andy Cole does not think that Kane coming back from injury and playing for Spurs regularly again will not change the way Jose Mourinho’s side are playing at the moment.
Cole said about Kane on talkSPORT (4:14pm, February 7, 2021): “I think when Tottenham were going through a terrible run, obviously Harry was in the team then.
“I just look at Tottenham at the moment, they are struggling, the football’s not very attractive and to lose Harry Kane when they did, he is their talisman.
“He has come back, he has got himself a goal today, but at this present moment, I don’t think he is going to make any difference to the way they play.”

Advice for Harry Kane
Ex-Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley has said that if Kane wants to leave Spurs, he needs to do so at the end of the season due to competition from other strikers who are younger than him.
Burley said about Kane on ESPNFC: “He needs to get out of there now because he is coming into his late 20s, he is going to have to make that move, and he is going down the pecking order because there’s going to be a right bunfight for Erling Haaland.
“If I was any club out there, that would be my first port of call, not just for talent, but for longevity because of his age. So Harry Kane has to be mindful that there are others out there now other clubs are going to be interested in. It’s pretty much it’s now or never for him.”
Kane has been at Tottenham his entire professional club football career so far, and if he had wanted to go, he would have left by now. It is very likely that the striker will stay at Spurs until he retires.
