Andy Townsend said on talkSPORT (5:14pm, February 8, 2021) that Liverpool teammates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane appeared to hate each other earlier in the season.
The former Chelsea and Aston Villa midfielder said that he thought that there was a problem between Liverpool duo Salah and Mane.
The talkSPORT pundit added that the two forward players appear to have resolved their issues.
Townsend said on talkSPORT (5:14pm, February 8, 2021): “I thought the relationship between Salah and Mane earlier in the season looked like they hate each other.
“I mean, listen, that’s not the first time, there has been loads of that over the years, players not getting on in the same team, you live with that, but it looked to me that it was starting to affect the team a little bit. It did. Now they appear to sort of overcome that.”

Bold claim from Andy Townsend
Back in October during the game against Sheffield United, Mane did appear to be annoyed with fellow forward Salah for not passing him the ball when he was in a better position.
Agains Burnley last season, the Senegal international was not happy with Salah not playing him on goal and going for glory himself.
Both Salah and Mane are world-class players who want to score goals, and that is very healthy for a team.
It shows the competitive nature of the two Liverpool players, and there is nothing to worry about really.
Townsend’s claim that the two players appeared to hate each other earlier in the season is a bit too strong.
