The Tottenham Hotspur man got away with one on Wednesday.
Andy Townsend has asserted on BBC Sport that Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker is prone to lapses in concentration.
Tottenham lost 1-0 to Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley last night in a defeat which damages their hopes of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League.
It leaves Spurs third in Group E, two points behind second-placed Leverkusen and four adrift of leaders Monaco, where they go in the penultimate matchday on November 22.

Kevin Kampl’s strike was enough to condemn Mauricio Pochettino’s side to the defeat last night, but the breakthrough might have come in the first half – and Walker will be delighted that it didn’t.
The England right-back inexplicably gifted possession to an away player in a move which Javier Hernandez spurn the chance of the match up until that point.
The 26-year-old was slightly erratic for much of the game, and Townsend told BBC Sport that Walker has those moments of madness in him.

He said: “For Hernandez that is a sitter. Walker has this in him. He is great offensively but defensively has these lapses.”
Tottenham visit North London rivals Arsenal on Sunday. Defeat would leave them six points behind Arsenal who, along with Man City and Liverpool, sit top of the Premier League.
