Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has praised Aston Villa on Instagram after Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Steven Gerrard’s team at the weekend.
Klopp’s Liverpool got the better of Villa 1-0 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
Mohamed Salah scored the only goal of the match in the second half.
It came from the penalty spot.
Liverpool left-back Robertson played in the match, and he has described Villa under Gerrard as “tough”.

Liverpool’s Andy Robertson on Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa
Compliment
Villa did give Liverpool a run for their money and made it really hard defensively for them.
That the Reds could score just one goal, and that too from the penalty spot, tells its own story.

In our opinion, Robertson’s comment is a compliment to Gerrard and his Villa team.
The Villans had lost five Premier League games in a row before Gerrard was appointed the manager.
And now Villa are winning matches and are making it tough for team such as Liverpool to win against them.
In our view, Villa are going places under Gerrard.
