Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has said that January signing Luis Diaz impressed him in the very first training session, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Robertson made the comments after Diaz’s Premier League debut for Liverpool against Leicester City at Anfield on Thursday evening.
The Colombia international winger started the match ahead of Mohamed Salah and gave a good account of himself.
Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen was among those who were impressed by Diaz.

BBC Sport quotes Robertson as saying about Diaz: “In his first training session I saw him flying about and I thought ‘he’ll be OK here!’ For his first start, I thought he was excellent today. I think the crowd really took to him.”

Luis Diaz could be a Liverpool star
In our view, Diaz could be a star for Liverpool and could prove to be a brilliant signing for manager Jurgen Klopp.
Against Leicester on Thursday evening, the 25-year-old was very quick, was a problem for the opposition defences, and connected well with his teammates.
The winger took four shots and two of them were on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 90.9%, won two headers, took 68 touches, attempted five dribbles, and put in four crosses.
Liverpool do have a very strong attacking unit, and it will be interesting to see if Diaz is able to keep his place in the starting lineup in the upcoming games.
