Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has praised Aston Villa star John McGinn on Twitter for his wonder-goal for Scotland last night.
McGinn scored a world-class goal for Scotland in the 2-2 draw with Austria at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the 2022 World Cup qualifier on Thursday evening.
The Villa midfielder found the back of the net with a sensational overhead kick in the 85th minute to rescue a point for Scotland.
Robertson, who is a left-back by trade, was deployed in a left wing-back role to accommodate Kieran Tierney in the same team, and the Liverpool star has taken to Twitter to express his delight at getting the point against Austria and has praised Villa midfielder McGinn for his superb goal.
McGinn is one of the best and most hard-working players in the current Villa team and is a big player for Scotland.
The 26-year-old is not a flashy player, but he works hard in the middle of the park, connects well with the attacking players and drives the team forward.

The overhead kick against Austria showed just how good McGinn can be as a source for goals from time to time.
According to WhoScored, McGinn has scored one goal and provided four assists in the Premier League this season, and scored three goals and provided three assists in the league in 2019-20.
