Andy Robertson has lauded Arsenal duo, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, for being ‘hard work’ and ‘tricky wingers’ during Liverpool’s 2-0 win at the Emirates on Wednesday night, as he told Sky Sports.
The Liverpool left-back added that he thinks he kept Saka ‘quiet’ during the game, whilst his partner in crime, Trent Alexander-Arnold, was ‘outstanding’ against Arsenal’s recently-called up Brazilian superstar.
During the game as a whole, Alexander-Arnold, no doubt, had his work cut out more than £8 million Scotsman (BBC Sport).
There was a number of occasions that the young Arsenal flyer got the better of the England international.
But, overall, Robertson thinks that he and his teammate did the job that was required last night against Saka and Martinelli.
“I think it was more a defensive performance from me and Trent,” said Robertson.
“Martinelli and Saka, they are really hard work. Really tricky wingers. Always wanting the ball in behind. Always looking to take you on one-v-one.
“I thought Trent was outstanding against Martinelli. And, look, it’s never easy against Saka, so I was happy to keep him quiet during this game.”

Martinelli will feel unlucky to be on the losing side because he was Arsenal’s standout star against the Reds.
At the age of 20, the versatile attacker is starting to showcase his worth and slowly shine more light on his game.
During his days in north London, he hasn’t always been a regular, up until recently, but this is the time when he now becomes a key player for the club.
One thing is for sure, he is showing the signs that are leading him to a road where he can one day be the Premier League’s best.
