Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson has told the club’s official website that he is wary that Arsenal will be reeling from their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
Arsenal are due to take on Liverpool tomorrow, and Robertson has warned against a backlash.
The Scottish full-back feels that the manner of Tottenham’s victory will have aggravated the Gunners, and he has insisted that Liverpool will need to be on their guard if they are to pick up the three points.
“Not getting a result in the derby is always tough, you always feel it a wee bit more and they will certainly feel that with Tottenham coming from behind and getting the win and taking over them in the table and stuff, so they will be looking to bounce back,” Robertson said.
“But obviously we’ll be looking to stamp our authority on the game. We want to go there and show why we are champions and put on a good performance and get the win that we want as well, and that we need.”
Arsenal had taken the lead against Tottenham when Alexandre Lacazette crashed home a shot from long-range.

However, Spurs hit back through goals from Heung-Min Son and Toby Alderweireld as they claimed a hugely important three points.
Tottenham have now moved ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League standings, with both sides battling it out to claim a Europa League spot for next term.
Ordinarily playing Liverpool would be a daunting prospect for Arsenal as they look to get back to winning ways, but Klopp’s side form has dipped slightly since their title win was confirmed.
Liverpool have won two of their last four matches, and Arsenal may just feel they have an opportunity to pull off an upset on Wednesday.
