Leeds United are well in contention for Premier League promotion.

Andy Ritchie has told Manchester United’s official website that he wants Leeds United back in the Premier League.
Often described as a sleeping giant of English football, Leeds have been absent from the top flight since 2004.
But that could change in a couple of months as Marcelo Bielsa’s side sit third in the Championship and one point behind second-placed Sheffield United with eight games left.
The Whites are one of the biggest clubs in the second tier and Ritchie, who spent time at Old Trafford and Elland Road, wants the Yorkshire side back in August.
“You know, I would like Leeds to win promotion,” he told Manchester United’s official website.
“I know that I played for them and it was about four or five years after I left United, but I think everybody would love to see them playing in the Premier League – I really do. I think it would be good for the league.”
It’s a brave admission from the 58-year-old, telling Man United’s website that he wants one of their historic rivals back in the big time, but he’s right. It would be good for the league.
What a big chance Leeds missed before the international break. Victory over the Blades at Elland Road would’ve given them a five-point cushion in the top two. Even that wouldn’t have guaranteed promotion, especially in a league like the Championship, but it would have alleviated a lot of anxiety at Elland Road.
Bielsa’s side are back in action on Saturday with a visit of Millwall.
