Tennis star Andy Murray has told Amazon Prime that Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson is his favourite player in the Scotland squad.
Murray is actually an Arsenal fan, but it is not Kieran Tierney who is his most loved Scottish player.
Instead, Murray says that he is a huge fan of Liverpool’s Robertson, who he seriously enjoys watching.
“Probably Andrew Robertson,” Murray said, when asked who his favourite playing in the Scotland squad is.
“I did something over Zoom with him and he seemed lovely.
“But I just like watching him play. He has an unbelievable engine, works really hard, seems very humble. So, yeah, I’d take him.”
Robertson proving his class
Robertson showed exactly why he is so popular in Scotland with his display in their opening fixture at Euro 2020.

Scotland may have lost 2-0 to the Czech Republic, but the Liverpool full-back still managed to catch the eye, despite the defeat.
Robertson has become widely regarded as one of the very best defenders in the Premier League through his consistent performances at Anfield.
Scotland’s next game comes against England on Friday, and they will surely need to avoid defeat to have a chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
Murray, meanwhile, is making his comeback from injury this week, and knocked out Benoit Paire in straight sets at Queen’s Club yesterday.
