Former Rangers forward Andy Little appeared a major coup for Preston North End but his career has not worked out since.

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson (above) was understandably thrilled to lure Andy Little to Deepdale in in June 2014, as reported by the BBC.
The then-25-year-old had netted 30 goals in the previous two seasons for Rangers as they began their ascent back up the leagues after being forced into the Third Division following their 2012 administration.
Yet, after a few injury issues, Little was released by Rangers and wound up at then-League One outfit Preston – much to the manager’s glee.
“I am delighted that he has chosen us over quite a few other teams,” Grayson told the BBC of the versatile striker who, oddly enough, made his first Rangers start at right-back.
“Andy has a fantastic goal record in Scotland and he can handle playing for a big club, as he has shown with Rangers.”
However, the injuries have once again taken their toll on Little. After being restricted to just 12 appearances in his debut season at Preston, he spent the following campaign on loan at Blackpool and Accrington Stanley.

Though, after a tally of one goal in five games for the former, Accrington manager John Coleman claimed that a short-term spell at the Crown Ground would be the ideal way to get his career ‘back on track’ after yet more knocks and niggles, as reported by the BBC.
Just a few months later, however, Little was released by Preston after failing to even make his Accrington debut.
These days, the 27-year-old is back in his native Scotland after almost a year out of the game, returning to the league where he enjoyed the most prolific season his career. The nine-time Northern Ireland international might have been on the winning side in three of his five games for fourth tier outfit Stirling Albion but he is yet to open his account.
Although, after years of injuries, the fact Little is back on the football pitch again is a step in the right direction.
