Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani’s critical comments of Wolverhampton Wanderers have attracted reaction from Nuno and Accrington Stanley owner Andy Holt.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani looks on before the Sky Bet Championship match between Derby County and Leeds United at iPro Stadium on February 21, 2018 in Derby, England.

Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani has strongly criticised Wolverhampton Wanderers on social networking site Twitter.

The Italian businessman is not happy with Wolves spending a lot of money in order to get promoted to the Premier League.

Radrizzani made the critical comments about the Wanderers following Nuno’s side’s 3-0 victory over Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Championship on Wednesday evening.

Owner of League Two club Accrington Stanley, Andy Holt, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Radrizzani’s comments, while Wolves boss Nuno has also given his thoughts on the matter.

Nuno Espirito Santo, the Wolves manager looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Millwall and Wolverhampton at The Den on December 26, 2017 in London, England.

Andrea Radrizzani, Owner of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Bristol City and Leeds United at Ashton Gate on October 21, 2017 in Bristol, England.

Nuno told The Express & Star: “First of all I say again, I don’t care. What we see on the pitch is a group of very hard working people, our only focus is on the game. “

“We don’t care, it’s like shouting, ‘we don’t care’ because it has nothing to do with us. We compete fairly and when we win we deserve it.

“We’re humble enough to recognise when people are better than us but we don’t go sending messages into the air, we’re very straight on what we say.”

Playoff hopes over for Leeds United?

The defeat to Wolves on Wednesday evening has pretty much put flight to Leeds’s hopes of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.

True, there are still quite a number of games left, but it is hard to see Paul Heckingbottom’s side putting together a run of positive results and going on a winning run to fire themselves into the playoffs.
