Newcastle United are currently sitting at the top of the Championship table.
Andy Hinchcliffe has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 1st November, that he doubts whether any team can catch Newcastle United this season.
Newcastle lost their first two Championship matches, but since then they have been in wonderful form.
Rafael Benitez’s side have shot up the table, and now lead the way in the second tier.
Newcastle have already built up a six point gap between them and third place Huddersfield Town, meaning their place in the top two looks to be very secure.
And Hinchcliffe said: “I would doubt it [that any can catch them]. I thought it might have been a rough ride for them when they lost at Fulham, but with the quality of their squad and the attacking players they have there is just so many options for Benitez.
“The fans are loving it, the goals are flying, and I cannot see them finishing outside the top two.”
Newcastle have now won their last seven games in a row, as they continue to go from strength to strength.
The Magpies beat Preston North End 2-1 at Deepdale in their latest outing, and they did not even have top scorer Dwight Gayle available for that fixture.
Benitez now has selection headaches in almost every position, as Newcastle’s players are all starting to hit top form.
Newcastle’s next match comes against Neil Warnock’s improving Cardiff City side at St James’ Park on Saturday.
