Andy Halliday is mad about Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers and he’s desperate to stay a while longer.

Andy Halliday has told The Scottish Sun that he’s confident he’ll be able to win a contract extension at Rangers.
The 27-year-old midfielder is fighting for his future at Ibrox, with his existing deal expiring next summer.
Halliday had a solid first season under Steven Gerrard last term, and the boyhood Rangers supporter is confident that he can stay in Glasgow for the long term, even if some fans still doubt his ability.
He told The Scottish Sun: “If I have the same 12 months as I had in the last 12 months, then I’m confident I can extend my stay at Rangers. But you’re fighting for your career every week at Rangers.
“It doesn’t matter if you’ve got three years left or 12 months. There are guys who have longer deals than me who are in that boat.
“I’m sure there are fans who still think I’m not good enough to play for Rangers and others who think I’m a very good player. If I have the consistency I’ve had in the last year, then there will be more of the latter.”
Halliday started at left-back in the Gers’ win over Progres in Europa League qualifying on Thursday.
If he does have a future at Rangers, it’ll be as a utility player and, to his credit, he’s as reliable as anyone.
He won’t get many chances in midfield, his natural position, by virtue of the fact that Gerrard has a stupid amount of quality options there this season.
But if he can continue to impress at left-back then there’s every chance he’ll be staying at Auchenhowie.
