Halliday has also said that he wants to repay the faith put in him by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who was appointed the Rangers in the summer.
“I’ve been pretty honest in reflecting and saying that I probably didn’t think my future lay at Rangers,” Halliday told Rangers’ official website.
”Thankfully the gaffer gave me that chance to show what I can do and obviously take me on the trip to Marbella.
”He showed a lot of faith in me and I’m in debt to him for that and it’s just up to me to repay it in performances this season.”

Rangers recovery
Halliday joined Rangers in the summer of 2015 after leaving Bradford City at the end of the 2014-15 season.
The 27-year-old midfielder spent the first half of the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Gabala FK in the Azerbaijan Premier League and struggled to make an impact at Rangers in the second half of the season.
The Scotsman is playing well for Rangers at the moment and has established himself as an important player in the Gers team.
Halliday has played four times in the Scottish Premiership and twice in the Europa League for Rangers so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Rangers are doing well in the Scottish Premiership and could progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
