Rangers are currently third in the Scottish Premiership after a rocky campaign so far.
Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has told the Daily Mail that not many clubs have expectations that are as high as those at Ibrox.
The Gers returned to the Scottish Premiership this season after a four-year absence following their relegation down the divisions.
The expectations on them heading into the campaign were great, to say the least, with many fans hoping to see them instantly challenge Celtic’s dominance at the top of the table.
Things have not gone exactly to plan, though, as they are currently third in the table and 11 points behind Brendan Rodgers’ side.
The expectation levels have stayed the same regardless and Halliday says they are higher at Ibrox than at most clubs in world football.
“It only took the new boys a small period time to realise the expectation level at this club,” he told the Daily Mail.
“That’s why you want to play at massive football clubs like this. There are not many in the world have the expectation level of this one. We need to win every week – you’ve got to thrive on that.”
It is fair to say that Mark Warburton’s side have struggled to adapt to life in the Scottish Premiership so far.
Drawing has been Rangers’ main problem, with five from their first 13 games of the season, a disappointing tally considering they have only won six so far.
It is fair to say that disappointment has been high and Halliday admits dropping points has been heartbreaking.
“If you’re any player worth your salt, you hate losing so much,” he added.
“To have dropped the amount of points we have is heart-breaking because you want to do well for everyone.”
