Lee Wallace is the forgotten man of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers.

Andy Halliday has revealed to The Scottish Sun that Rangers team-mate Lee Wallace is something of a role model for him.
Wallace, who joined Rangers in 2011, is one of the Gers’ all-time great players after leading the club back to the Premiership under Mark Warburton in 2016.
But the last few years haven’t been kind to the 31-year-old, who missed most of last season through injury, and was suspended by the club in April after a 4-0 Scottish Cup defeat by Celtic for a verbal assault on then-manager Graeme Murty.
The Scotland international has fared no better under Steven Gerrard, only making two cameo appearances all season long and hasn’t made a match-day squad in 2019 yet.
But Wallace remains a popular figure among his team-mates, and Halliday, who joined the club under Warburton, can’t speak highly enough about him, including him in his best XI of past and current team-mates.
“I can’t speak highly enough of Waldo. He’s also been my captain since I’ve been here. He’s someone I look up to. He’s very good with his team-mates and young players,” he told The Scottish Sun.
“Even when I played holding midfield, I feel that the chemistry me and Waldo had throughout my time at Rangers was ones that I’ve probably not had with a lot of players so Waldo deserves his spot in there.”
The £2.2 million signing of Borna Barisic effectively killed Wallace’s chance of ever being a big player at Ibrox under Gerrard, who has also used central midfielder Halliday as the Croat’s understudy.
