Rangers face Falkirk on Sunday afternoon in the Scottish Cup.

Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has told media during Friday afternoon’s press conference, as quoted by the Gers’ official website, that he is prepared to work hard to keep his place in the starting eleven.
The 26-year-old left-footer featured at left-back during the 4-1 win over St. Johnstone on Tuesday night, as the Light Blues continued their excellent form with a comfortable win at McDiarmid Park.
Although naturally a central midfielder, Halliday replaced the injured Declan John on the left side of defence while club captain Lee Wallace remains sidelined with a long-term problem.

In what was his first league start since returning to Ibrox from a disappointing loan spell with FK Gabala, Halliday stated that he will put the graft in to keep his place in the starting eleven, before commenting on his role at left-back.
“It’s up to myself to perform to a certain standard to keep my place in the team. I am happy that I have had an opportunity and it’s up to me to fill the jersey whilst certain players are missing,” Halliday said.
“I’ll never complain wherever I play for this football club. It’s obviously a privilege to be here. In my career I have played a few different positions but it’s up to myself to play well when giving the opportunity.”

Halliday is expected to start on Sunday afternoon as the Gers play host to Scottish Championship side Falkirk at Ibrox in the sixth round of the Scottish Cup, after wins against Fraserburgh and Ayr United.
The Gers’ number 16 has made just five league appearances since returning, with only the latest outing being from the off. It has seen him clock up just 146 minutes of Scottish Premiership football.
Murty is likely to make a number of changes to his side in order to keep his first-team stars fresh ahead of next weekend’s huge Old Firm derby that could be crucial in terms of the Scottish Premiership title race.
