Glasgow Rangers picked up a good 2-0 win against Partick Thistle at Ibrox.

Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has told the club’s official website that he thought that David Bates and Myles Beerman looked comfortable during the Gers’ victory over Partick Thistle on Saturday.
The Light Blues consolidated their position in third in the Scottish Premiership with a 2-0 victory over Partick at Ibrox, with goals from Kenny Miller and Jon Toral securing the win.
The game also saw Bates and Beerman both make their third appearances for the club – all of which have come since Pedro Caixinha was appointed as manager – and they once again vindicated their selections by helping the side keep another clean sheet.
And Halliday used an extremely encouraging adjective to describe what he thought about their displays.
“It’s credit to the back four, again the two young boys, Batesy and Myles, I thought they were again, really comfortable today,” he told the club’s official website.
“Three games into your Rangers career, and no goals conceded, that’s pretty impressive so well done to them.”
It could be argued that Halliday’s assessment of the pair’s performances should please the Gers fans greatly. Some young players struggle to avoid fluctuating between the extremes when they burst onto the scene – some weeks, leaving the fans in awe, while looking completely out of their depth in other games.
But Halliday’s suggestion that Bates and Beerman were comfortable suggests that they are already finding their feet and showing the consistency that may allow them to have long careers at Ibrox.
