Joe Dodoo has been training with Rangers for the past week.
Andy Halliday says potential new signing Rangers Joe Dodoo has performed very well in training over the past week and believes he willl make a good addition to the squad, he told the club’s official website.
Dodoo came through the Leicester City youth ranks but has been training with the Scottish Premiership club over the past following the expiration of his contract at the King Power Stadium.
Boss Mark Warburton is seemingly hopeful of completing a deal for the Ghana-born striker and adding to his squad, while Ibrox midfielder Halliday believes he has been sharp during his time in Glasgow.
“He’s done very well, he’s looked very sharp. It’s been very good to have Joe over the last week or two. Whatever happens now is up to the club and Joe to get sorted out but if we get him signed it’s another good addition to the squad,” Halliday told the Gers’ official website.
When asked what he feels Dodoo will bring to the side, Halliday responded: “Being a striker or a winger hopefully goals. He seems to be very pacey and tricky. He’s got an eye for goal.”
Dodoo netted a hat-trick on his debut for Leicester last season, yet despite impressing at the King Power Stadium his contract situation has paved the way for a potential Rangers switch.
The Gers have already made eight new signings this summer, but Warburton is still in the market for a new defender and forward as he plans on adding strong competition of places.
Dodoo is quick, strong on the ball and has the ability to produce individual brilliance in order to settle games.
