Everton suffered a 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Sunday.

Andy Gray has slammed Lucas Digne on BeIN Sports after the Everton left-back failed to beat the first man with a corner in the 96th minute during the Toffees’ 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Sunday.
Goals from Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were enough to see off Gylfi Sigurdsson’s penalty, while David De Gea and Jordan Pickford pulled off a number of big saves throughout the match to keep the scoreline at a minimum.
Everton were on the front foot and pushing for an equaliser after Sigurdsson’s penalty, and had the chance to apply pressure in the dying moments with a corner. But Digne failed to beat the first man.
Everton legend Gray hammered the summer signing, whose form has been so impressive since his summer move from Barcelona that he has earned a place back in the France squad.
“I cannot catch my breath,” Gray said. “It’s the last minute, he’s taken more time than he should’ve done, and yet he cannot miss the first man. I would’ve gone potty. I don’t get it.
“He’s an international. He’s played for Paris Saint-Germain. I’m not saying they would have scored, but you have to give your teammates a chance.”

Digne, an £18million signing from Barcelona (BBC Sport), has impressed since moving to Merseyside, creating two goals in his nine appearances and helping Everton keep two clean sheets.
He remains above Leighton Baines in the pecking order and is expected to keep his shirt when Everton play host to Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
