Ex-Rangers player Andy Gray has had few complaints about Celtic being awarded the title on BeINSports.

Celtic were handed their ninth Scottish Premiership title in a row earlier this week, after the league was called off.

Rangers could mathematically have caught Celtic if the season had continued, although they were 13 points behind Neil Lennon’s men.

And Gray thinks that Rangers’ focus already needs to be on next season and attempting to stop 10 in a row from happening.

“A decision has been made. It would have been nice if it was played out, but it wasn’t and that’s not Celtic’s fault,” Gray said.

“They’ve won nine in a row, it’s up to us to make sure it’s not 10.”

Rangers actually appeared to be in with a chance of stopping Celtic this season, but their form slipped after a midseason trip to Dubai.

Rangers just could not keep pace with Celtic after the turn of the year, as they kept dropping points.

Steven Gerrard’s side will now surely invest over the summer, as they look to block Celtic from moving into double figures for successive titles.

Rangers have invested heavily in recent times, but still clearly need to make improvements, if they are to stop Neil Lennon’s men from racing clear of them again.
