Ojo has joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Firth was with Ojo at Liverpool, and the 22-year-old former Barrow goalkeeper believes that the 22-year-old winger will be a success at Rangers.
Firth told Blood Red: The Liverpool FC Podcast about Ojo, as transcribed by The Daily Record: “Sheyi’s perfect for this league – so quick and powerful and he’ll have a good season this year.
“When I spoke to him he said he wanted to come and play. He’s looked brilliant in training and scored his first goal against Mansfield in a friendly.”

Good signing for Rangers?
Ojo has struggled to maintain consistency during his loan spells in recent years, but there is no doubt that the 22-year-old has quality and calibre.
The Englishman has pace and tricks, and he can only improve and develop working under Rangers manager and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Ojo, though, will have to take the chances he will get at Rangers, and have to hit the ground running.
Rangers will be aiming to challenge bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
