Ex-Rangers boss Stuart McCall hasn’t forgotten his Ibrox roots.

Dundee winger Andy Dales has told The Scottish Sun that Stuart McCall banned green cones and bibs at Scunthorpe United – because he ‘hates’ Celtic.
Dales, 24, joined Dundee on loan in January, but he had a few months under McCall at Scunthorpe before his move to Scotland.
Now, Dales has revealed that McCall would tell the Scunthorpe squad how big of a hero he is at Rangers ‘every day’ in training.
Dales added that McCall’s hatred of Celtic extended to comically banning both green cones and bibs, due to the colour’s association with Celtic.
“I’m well aware of what a big hero Stuart is at Rangers because we heard about it all day, every day!” said Dales. “At training we were not allowed to have green cones out and not allowed to wear green bibs. He would remind us of what he is to Rangers — and how much he hates Celtic, basically!” he added.
McCall took over at Scunthorpe in August 2018, and whilst he hasn’t been with Rangers for almost four years now, it’s clear that he hasn’t forgotten his Ibrox roots.

The Yorkshireman was a Rangers hero as a player, racking up 265 appearances whilst bagging 19 goals, and ended up earning 40 caps for Scotland too.
In 2015, McCall returned to Ibrox as Rangers boss and led them into the Scottish Premiership play-offs before losing to Motherwell, and then being replaced by Mark Warburton.
Rangers fans will love to hear that McCall still holds the club so close to his heart though, even if the ways he shows his love for the club – and hatred for Celtic – are somewhat comical and even juvenile.
