Leeds United drew 1-1 against Aston Villa in the Championship clash on Friday.

Leeds United managed a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in the Championship clash at Elland Road on Friday.
The Whites put up a dominant display in the first half, and deservedly took the lead in the 19th minute through Pontus Jansson.
Though Leeds enjoyed 52% of the possession, they could not make enough clear-cut chances. They only managed one shot on target throughout the game.

Villa made a strong comeback in the second half, and got the equalizer through Henri Lansbury.
Former Leeds United player Andy Couzens took to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction after the game.
He felt that it was a “pity” about the result and that Leeds should have taken three points from the game.

He added that before the match, Leeds fans would have been happy with a point, but after such performance, it was disappointing to get away with just one point.
With this result, Leeds have jumped to 7th in the league, with 30 points. Villa maintain their unbeaten run and stay rooted in the fourth position with 36 points.
