Leeds United snapped up forward Patrick Bamford from Middlesbrough on Tuesday evening.

Leeds United tied up a fifth summer signing on Tuesday evening as they brought in Middlesbrough striker Patrick Bamford for a fee in the region of £7million (Yorkshire Evening Post).
The Whites had already brought in Chelsea duo Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman on loan before signing Wolverhampton Wanderers left back Barry Douglas in a permanent move, and then returning to the loan market to land winger Jack Harrison from Manchester City.
Leeds were still looking for a striker though, and after a move for Derby County’s Matej Vydra collapsed, the Whites moved on to targeting Bamford from Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
Bamford, 24, hit 11 goals in the Championship last season, including a hat-trick at the Riverside Stadium against Leeds, and he has now decided to leave Teesside for a move to West Yorkshire.
Signed by Victor Orta at Middlesbrough in January 2017, Bamford has now reunited with the Spaniard at Elland Road, and looks likely to lead the line for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season.
Whether he starts against Stoke City this weekend is another matter, but Leeds will now be hoping that Bamford can score the goals to fire the Whites back to the Premier League.

Leeds fans are mostly happy with the move for the ex-Chelsea talent, and former Whites midfielder Andy Couzens has taken to Twitter to offer his views on the move.
Couzens feels that Bamford is exactly what Leeds have been missing since they sold 26-year-old forward Chris Wood to Burnley last summer, and believes that he is a ‘proper goalscorer’ that Leeds can rely on in front of goal.
