Leeds United came from behind to draw 2-2 with Bristol City on Sunday.

Leeds United produced a superb late fightback to claim a 2-2 draw against Bristol City – and former midfielder Andy Couzens was disappointed not to claim all three points.

The Whites were looking to really kickstart the Paul Heckingbottom era after losing 2-1 at Sheffield United last weekend, but made a terrible start to their new manager’s first game in charge at Elland Road.

Felix Wiedwald’s flapping from a Hordur Magnusson long throw-in allowed Famara Diedhiou to open the scoring, before another long throw-in wasn’t dealt with, and Bobby Reid turned home from close range.

Leeds looked to be down and out, but roared back late on as Pierre-Michel Lasogga volleyed home Pablo Hernandez’s cross, before Kemar Roofe sneaked in at the back post to turn home Hernandez’s corner for 2-2.

In fact, Leeds almost won it late on, as Adam Forshaw sent one shot just wide, before Lasogga rose highest to head Hernandez’s cross onto the crossbar with virtually the last action of the game.

Having been 2-0 down, a point was a superb result for Leeds, but former midfielder Andy Couzens has taken to Twitter in order to react to the performance, suggesting that he was disappointed not to take all three points.

Couzens drew attention to the impact of the atmosphere at Elland Road, hailing Leeds fans as the 12th man after creating an electric atmosphere in the second half, spurring the players on to claim a draw.

Ex-Leeds striker Noel Whelan made similar comments on Twitter too, stating how proud he was of the Leeds fans for their incredible support as the Whites roared back from 2-0 down to grab a point.
