Leeds United were given a home draw with Norwich City in the fourth round of the League Cup last night.

The Whites, who beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 on Tuesday night, have the luxury of a second successive home tie as Garry Monk’s side look to reach the last eight.

It could have been tougher for Leeds, who dodged some pretty big bullets in the form of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool.

But the visit of Norwich definitely represents their hardest game in the competition so far, having won at Fleetwood Town – albeit on penalties – and Luton Town in the first two stages of the tournament.

Leeds players and coaching staff must be happy with the pairing, and another man pleased by the draw is the club’s former midfielder Andy Couzens, who shared his view on Twitter shortly after discovering his old side’s fourth-round opponents.

The Canaries, relegated from the Premier League last season, look good in their bid to secure an immediate return to the top fight so far.

City sit second in the Championship, two points behind Huddersfield after winning five and losing one of their eight second-tier outings so far. Leeds, on the other hand, have won three, drawn one and lost four to reach 15th spot.
