Former Leeds midfielder Couzens has suggested on Twitter that Garry Monk’s side will bring Newcastle back down to earth.

Newcastle, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, are going strong in the Championship at the moment.

The Magpies got the better of Preston North End 2-1 away from home at Deepdale in the league at the weekend.

Rafael Benitez’s side are currently at the top of the Championship table with 34 points from 15 matches, just three points clear of second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.

Leeds are ninth in the Championship table at the moment with 23 points from 15 matches, just a point behind Bristol City, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
