The 24-year-old was on target for Leeds United again on Tuesday.

Chris Wood came to Leeds United’s rescue against Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.
The Whites’ third-round League Cup clash at Elland Road looked set for extra time following a cagey affair which yielded no goals for most of last night’s clash.
But the big Leeds striker came off the bench to grab an 85th-minute winner which sent Garry Monk’s side into the quarter-final of the competition.

It was United’s third successive win in all competitions, while the goal was Wood’s fifth in seven games – and sixth from his last 10 outings across Championship and League Cup outings.
The 24-year-old has been something of a divisive figure among Leeds fans this season, but Andy Couzens, who spent four years at United in the 90s, suggested on Twitter last night that the New Zealand hitman deserves a bit more acknowledgement.

Wood’s goal return this season is not exemplary, but it is quite decent and he is rapidly becoming a very important figure for Leeds, whether supporters want to admit it or not.
His biggest problem seems to be inconsistency, but if he can iron out those creases then the Whites have a very capable of goalscorer on their hands.
The question is whether he can do it every single week, but with three in his last three, he certainly appears to be trying.
