Liam Bridcutt joined Nottingham Forest from Leeds United this summer.
Andy Couzens said on social networking site Twitter that Liam Bridcutt is a “good player”, but there are better players at the club.
The 28-year-old joined Nottingham Forest this summer from Leeds United on a three-year deal for undisclosed fee, with the Reds paying something closer to £500,000, as reported by Nottingham Post.
And he is line to make his debut for Forest against his former club.
Leeds United will face Nottingham Forest on Saturday at the City ground, and Couzens hopes Bridcutt doesn’t play the match. He tweeted:
Bridcutt enjoyed two seasons at Leeds United (the 2015-16 was on loan from Sunderland). Last season he made 25 Championship appearances for the club.
Leeds have quality midfielders in their ranks, and Couzens previously claimed that 19-year-old midfielder Ronaldo Vieira is better than Bridcutt.
The Whites have made a good start to their 2017/18 Championship campaign, having remained unbeaten in their opening four games, winning two of them.
Nottingham Forest have won three and lost one in the opening four games. They are heading into this match on the back of a 3-2 win over Newcastle United in the EFL cup second round.
