Leeds United could be a Premier League club this summer.

The future looks exciting for Leeds United after the club announced new investment from Italian media mogul Andrea Radrizzani.

Radrizzani has bought 50 per cent of the club, and SkySports report he could increase his stake to 100 per cent in the summer.

Former Leeds United trainee and first team player Andy Couzens has expressed his excitement over the news, speaking of his dream scenario.

Couzens says he is hoping that Radrizzani does go on to buyout the rest of Massimo Cellino’s stake – in the summer when Leeds are a top flight club.

Couzens is taking a little leap of faith, hoping Leeds can clinch promotion, but they at least are in with a shot at this stage – whereas this time last season they were not even in contention.

Leeds are presently in fifth place, seven points off the automatic promotion places.

One potential concern for Radrizzani’s chances of buying Leeds wholly is that if the club win promotion then Massimo Cellino may be more reluctant to walk away from his dream of owning a Premier League club.
