Andy Couzens has defended Leeds United striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga on social networking site Twitter.
Lasogga started the season strongly for Leeds, having joined the Whites on a season-long loan deal from Hamburg in the summer transfer window.
The German striker has scored five goals and provided three goals in 10 Championship appearances for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this campaign.
The 25-year-old has struggled to score goals in recent weeks and is injured at the moment, as informed to The Yorkshire Evening Post by Caleb Ekuban.
Former Leeds midfielder Couzens has defended Lasogga on Twitter and has also praised Kemar Roofe, who can operate as a winger or as a striker.
Leeds returned to winning ways at the weekend, as they got the better of Middlesbrough 2-1 at Elland Road in the Championship.
Thomas Christiansen’s side will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the Championship.
