Leeds United star Samuel Saiz is reportedly wanted by Getafe.
Andy Couzens has suggested on Twitter that Leeds United should let Samuel Saiz leave in the January transfer window.
According to a recent report in The Yorkshire Post, Spanish club Getafe are interested in signing Saiz – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward – in January.
It has been reported that the La Liga outfit want to secure the services of the 27-year-old on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent transfer thereafter.
Former Leeds midfielder Couzens has given his take on the situation on Twitter, and has suggested that the Championship club should sell Saiz for a good transfer fee.
Leeds United exit?
Saiz is a very good attacking player who remains an important player in the current Leeds team.
If the Whites do let the Spaniard leave in the January transfer window, then they must sign a suitable replacement.
The problem that Leeds could face is finding an attacking player who could make an immediate impact in the team and help in the Whites’ quest to finish in the top two of the Championship table this season.
Saiz moved to Leeds from Huesca in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post to be worth £3 million.
