Leeds United have taken a significant step forward.
Former Leeds United players have reacted with delight to the club buying back stadium Elland Road.
The club announced on their official website last night they have purchased the stadium, which was sold in 2004 to pay debts.

The Whites have been leasing it ever since and now new owner Andrea Radrizzani has acted swiftly to buy it back.
After years in the wilderness, Leeds suddenly feel like a club in control of their own destiny once again.
Former players Andy Couzens and Michael Bridges reacted on Twitter to the significant deal.
Former owner Massimo Cellino had got fans’ hopes up when he took over in 2014 by pledging to buy the stadium back, but was unable to get it done, seemingly lacking the financial capital to do so.
Radrizzani meanwhile has gone about his business quietly, and delivered.
But fans shouldn’t be too hard in reflection on Cellino, for he at least chose a superb man to sell Leeds United to in Radrizzani, and the new owner is only just getting started.
