Andy Cole told talkSPORT that Marcelo Bielsa is ‘not a myth at all’ after previous claims from Gabby Agbonlahor about the Leeds manager.
Former Villa striker Agbonlahor has done well to wind up those at Leeds this season, including labeling their manager a ‘myth’ for the praise he gets in the media, which resulted in the club firing back at him on Twitter when they beat Dean Smith’s side 3-0 in October.
Well, many more games have been played since then, with Leeds currently sitting 12th in table following their 1-0 win against Burnley over the weekend.
Cole shared these brief thoughts on Bielsa and had a simple message for Agbonlahor about his previous claims.
“I’m having him, by the way,” said Cole. “Hey, Gabby, he’s not a myth at all – I think all the players enjoy playing for him.”
It was a pretty strong response from Leeds on Sunday because only a week before they were conceding six at Old Trafford, including two goals inside three minutes.
That perhaps sums up Leeds in a nutshell because regardless of what’s happening in the match and what their previous result was, it never seems to affect them.
Leeds will continue their busy festive period today by taking on Sam Allardyce’s West Brom.
