England’s Daniel Sturridge
Quoted by Yahoo Sports, former Manchester United striker Andy Cole says he believes Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge is England’s best centre forward.
The Liverpool striker endured another frustrating campaign as injuries severely limited him playing time.
He did return to full fitness in the latter months of the season though, finishing with 13 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions.

He is in the England squad for Euro 2016, but faces a fight for a first team place ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, the top two goalscorers in the Premier League last season.
But as far a Cole is concerned he should be in ahead of those two, as he believes he is England’s best centre forward.
“Daniel Sturridge is England’s best centre forward,” he told Yahoo Sports.
“Harry Kane has had a very good season again and Jamie Vardy had an unbelievable season but for me Daniel Sturridge, when fit, not many centre forwards can do what can do.”

It will certainly be interesting to see what role that Sturridge plays for England at Euro 2016 this summer.
Much will rest on the formation that Roy Hodgson employs, with a diamond formation likely to see him featuring more heavily than a 4-5-1 line up would.
Nonetheless, he is a decent option for England to have and there are certainly several other teams at the tournament who would welcome him in their teams.
