The Hammers striker has brushed off talk of a serious battle to avoid the drop.
West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has told talkSPORT that he is not worried that the club will be drawn into a serious relegation battle as they are too good to go down.
The Hammers have suffered badly so far this season after their successful campaign last term battling to a seventh-placed finish.
Carroll’s side won just three of their opening 15 Premier League fixtures this term, form which has seen them mired down the bottom of the table.

However, the former England striker inspired the East London club to record a fourth victory this week as they beat Burnley 1-0, a result which lifted them to 15th, four points clear of the relegation zone.
When queried over West Ham could really be sucked into the bottom three this season, Carroll seemed confident about his side’s prospects.
He told talkSPORT: “I wouldn’t say we are [in a relegation battle]. We’ve got too many good players and staff.

“Obviously, the manager has had some people giving him stick as well as we’ve had, but I think we’ve got such a good dressing room with the staff and the players that I don’t think there’s any chance of us being in a battle at the bottom.”
West Ham certainly have a squad that is better than relegation material on paper, with the likes of France’s leading star Dimitri Payet in their side.
However, Newcastle United went down last season with a team full of internationals, and that should serve as a stark warning for the Hammers.
