Newcastle United have snapped up striker Andy Carroll.

Newcastle United managed to complete two deals on deadline day, as right back Emil Krafth arrived from Amiens before Andy Carroll’s move was confirmed.
The Magpies took a while to get going in the transfer market, but they ended up signing five players to bolster Steve Bruce’s first-team squad.
Striker Joelinton, forward Allan Saint-Maximin and left back Jetro Willems arrived before this week, and Bruce has now got in Krafth and Carroll too.
Swedish international Krafth should be a solid player at right back, but it’s the signing of Carroll that has really grabbed headlines today.
The 30-year-old is a free agent having left West Ham United at the end of last season, and Bruce has been weighing up a move for a few weeks now.
Carroll, a boyhood Newcastle fan who came up through the ranks with the club, left for Liverpool in January 2011 after scoring 30 goals in his final 62 games for the Magpies.
He may be injury-prone, but Carroll can cause mayhem with his aerial ability, and you can’t ignore the impact a veteran Premier League striker can have, given that Joelinton is a little inexperienced.
Carroll has now taken to Twitter to react to his return to St James’ Park, posting just three words; ‘I’m Coming Home’, with the striker clearly delighted to be returning.
