Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in the win against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.

Palace won 2-0 against West Brom away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.

After a goalless first half, Wilfried Zaha put the Eagles in the lead in the 55th minute, and Townsend doubled the advantage six minutes before full time.

Townsend has taken to Twitter to express his delight at the win for Palace, with Newcastle United fans responding to his message on the social networking site.

The 25-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur winger joined Palace from Newcastle in the summer of 2016.

Townsend has scored one goal and created 28 chances in 24 Premier League appearances for Palace so far this season.

The London club are 17th in the league table at the moment with 25 points from 27 matches, just three points above the relegation zone.

The Eagles will return to action in two weeks’ time when they take on Watford at Selhurst Park in the Premier League.
