Crystal Palace star is sad to see that Tottenham’s stadium set to be demolished.
Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend
Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend once again showed his affection for his old club by reflecting on their final match at White Hart Lane.
Demolition work on Tottenham’s stadium is scheduled to begin this week after hosting their final ever match at White Hart Lane, a 2-1 win over Manchester United.
Townsend came through Tottenham’s academy and starred for their first team before leaving to join Newcastle in January 2016 after losing his first team place.
He subsequently signed for Crystal Palace, but despite his somewhat acrimonious exit from Spurs he has always spoken well about his old team.

Yesterday was a good day for Townsend as the winger helped Crystal Palace ensure their Premier League survival with a 4-0 victory over Hull.
Townsend’s spell at Tottenham perhaps rightly came to an end when it did, but they have not been able to improve their wing play since letting him go, although are interested in adding his Eagles teammate Wilfried Zaha.
